There is definitely something in the water and our rich red volcanic soil. The Scenic Rim nurtures a flourishing food and wine industry and is renowned for its abundant seasonal harvests and authentic paddock-to-plate experiences.

Feast on the cornucopia of local produce at Scenic Rim Eat Local Month, an annual celebration of the region’s food, wine and producers held throughout June, or source ingredients direct from farmers through roadside stalls, farm gate shops and dairy farms, including artisan cheeses, honey, fruit and vegetables, jams, relishes, plants and flowers.

Stop at our country pubs where classic fare, cold beer and relaxed country ambience are always on tap, or drop into our wineries, breweries and distilleries for a glass of wine, craft brew or liqueur, served with a side of stunning views.

Reap the benefits of our hyperlocal food movement at the annual Scenic Rim Eat Local Month festival of food and farming every June, or fill your plate (and esky) at one of the Farm Gate Trails that run each year. Taste your way around the best regional producers and makers from dairy to honey, olives, cheese, coffee and fresh fruit and vegetables. Planning a visit outside these events? Most farms will open by appointment, so you can curate a tour to suit your own taste buds and tempo.

Enjoy the relaxed rural ambience of our historic pubs, where you can soak up the welcoming atmosphere and stunning views, or dine in boutique surrounds in vineyards, restaurants and cafes. Love a country bakery pit stop? You can fuel up on delicious pastries, cakes and baked goods around the region, too.

Call into a cellar door to learn about our regional varietals and embark on a tasting tour at vineyards and breweries against the stunning backdrop of the Scenic Rim.
