Where to have your dream wedding

If you’ve picked up any Australian wedding magazines or browsed wedding blogs recently, chances are you’ve been eyeing off a Scenic Rim wedding.

The backdrops of rolling hills, leafy rainforests or antique chapels aren’t the only reasons the Scenic Rim is trending as a top destination to tie the knot – you’ll find ABIA Wedding Award, Wedding Industry Award and Brides Choice Award Winning venues and operators hosting “I dos” across the region.

Whether your special day has you arriving at a luxury vineyard, rainforest haven or hilltop estate, read on to discover how the Scenic Rim can make your dream wedding a reality.

Kooroomba Vineyard, Mount Alford
Name a more romantic location to tie the knot than a lavender farm? Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm is just that – a venue offering carefully planted rows of lavender, a vineyard, an olive grove, an Australian Good Food Guide chef-hatted restaurant and, le piece de resistance, an architecturally-designed chapel, planted in the middle of the lavender fields and magnificent views of the Scenic Rim mountains.
After exchanging wedding bands, take your pick of an indoor or outdoor reception on the fully licensed grounds. The Kooroomba Restaurant can comfortably cater for small or large groups with seating options of banquet or round tables with architecturally designed floor to ceiling windows your guests can enjoy the amazing scenic views from every seat, or for a more open-air experience, opt for a cocktail-style reception held on the terrace overlooking the lavender fields.
To ensure you get the most out of your special day, Kooroomba provides a wedding planning team equipped to assist with every aspect of planning your wedding. This includes a planning meeting and unlimited support via phone calls and emails.

Tamborine Mountain Glades, Tamborine Mountain
Crowned gold as an eco-wedding venue in the 2022 and 2023 Wedding Industry Awards,  Tamborine Mountain Glades is a leading rainforest wedding venue on Tamborine Mountain and for good reason – it’s simply beautiful.
For your ceremony, take your pick of the immersive Rainforest Amphitheatre, The Circles. Either way, the babbling namesake Cedar Creek will be your soundtrack, and subtropical rainforest your backdrop.
Tamborine Mountain Glades can cater for parties of 10 to over 100 guests, from the Island Glade, an open-air venue set within the rainforest lit by candles, to the Miner’s Lantern complete with black stone fireplace or for endless elegance, the Sanctuary offers timber floors, crystal chandeliers and an open fire place to evoke romance of a bygone era.
Planning your dream day with the  our wedding professionals is a breeze – simply hop on the Tamborine Mountain Glades website and tap to download their wedding packages.

White Chapel and Black Hall , Kalbar
If being a multi award winner isn’t convincing enough, one look at this pure white, traditionally-designed chapel and adjacent reception hall will leave you head over heels.
On the inside, White Chapel Kalbar has original timber floors, high ceilings, stylish furnishings, flowered furnishings and golden candlesticks.
As a premier wedding destination, you can rest assured you’re in safe hands with the White Chapel management team. When you book with the venue,  additional services can be selected such as a wedding day luxe photographer package, White Chapel private bus or 24-seater minibus, and a vintage Bently to deliver the bride to her perfect day.
Think of Black Hall Kalbar as the yang to White Chapel’s ying – adjacent to White Chapel, this venue can be used for a wedding, or as a reception hall following a wedding in the White Chapel. While both are equally captivating, charismatic and dreamy, Black Hall overflows with its own distinct personality, exuding an aura of country elegance and sophistication. This  barn-style hall has a black exterior with contrasting white highlights along the large doors and windows. Warm lights surround the Hall, making the combination of black walls, white highlights and a subtle orange glow a sight to behold. The inside of Black Hall is equally as captivating, where the once ‘Sunday school’ space is now furnished with black panels, white skirting boards and iron chandeliers. After your ‘I do’s’, guests can settle at long, rustic timber tables for the reception.Outside, you’ll find a shaded garden area, where wedding photo opportunities lie in abundance (our personal favourite is a kiss to seal the deal under the fairy-lit antique-style dome).Black Hall and White Chapel are managed by the same team of professionals, so expect all the same convenient packages to be available at the two venues.

Hampton Estate Wines, Tamborine Mountain
At the intersection of privacy, luxury and scenery, you’ll find Hampton Estate Wines on Tamborine Mountain. This venue is overflowing with charm, elegance and wine.
For lovers of large views, celebrate with 100 guests in The Glasshouse – a round room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows offering 360-degree views of the Gold Coast hinterland. If a homely feel is more your style, spend your special day in Hampton House. Our tip: have the bride walk down the elegant cedar staircase to greet guests for a frame-worthy photo.
Additional spaces include the green – the lush lawns that let unobstructed views of the Scenic Rim’s rolling hills serve as your ceremony or reception backdrop, and a newly installed whisky bar, offering a more intimate space for smaller receptions.
The menu at a Hampton Estate wedding will be just as memorable with an award-winning head chef behind the pass. Impress your guests with a tailored menu of canapes and two or three-course meals. Similarly, a wedding here relieves the stress of finding accommodation, with boutique-style cottages offering space for 16 guests to stay onsite (complete with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine).

Rosewood Estate, Beechmont
There’s a fair chance you’ve seen photos from Rosewood Estate on the cover of your favourite wedding blog or magazine, with its picture-perfect facade. Not only does it provide incredible views from atop the Lamington Plateau, but a wedding at Rosewood Estate gives you exclusive access to the 250-acre property, including the Rosewood Homestead.
Following the ceremony, you and the 200 other guests can retreat to the marquee – your reception area set between wooden flooring, glass walls and a clear roof with glittering fairy lights.
For proud wedding planners, the 100-year-old privately owned property is the only DIY wedding venue in its class, providing the opportunity for you to plan your event completely catered to your own tastes and requirements.

For your ceremony, the lush lawn of the Estate serves as your wedding ground, where guests can enjoy sunshine, crisp air and stunning views. Wedding photographers have ample spots to snap memories around the grounds.
Your up-to 95 guests can enjoy themselves in the evening, with onsite accommodation providing lavish housing for the night. Beechmont Estate will happily allow you to pick your own wedding providers but have a list of professionals they’ve worked with in the past if you get stuck.

Mount French Lodge, Charlwood
Mount French Lodge is a stylish and sophisticated retreat with epic views and a rolling lawn that sits 600 feet above sea level and spans 100 acres of pristine wilderness. A wedding at Mount French Lodge sees you gain exclusive access to the property, which includes the Great Room, the pavilion, tennis courts, and the large lawn to pose on and fill the wedding photo album.
The Great Room serves as your ceremony venue, where the 14-foot-high ceilings, spotted gum hardwood floors and space for 50 guests to watch you exchange vows. Following the happy occasion, you’ll have the patio, lush lawns and a jaw-dropping view to enjoy while you celebrate the ceremony.
Each booking includes accommodation for 16 people in eight luxury apartments, topped off with the option to upgrade your guests to an all-inclusive stay for the day before and after the wedding.
